Andrea Tonoli is associate professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department of Politecnico di Torino. He served as Director of the Mechatronics Laboratory of Politecnico di Torino from 2007 to 2011. From 2009 he represent Politecnico di Torino within Polo della Meccatronica e dei Sistemi Avanzati di Produzione (MESAP) a regional based cluster of Companies and Research centers active in the field of Mechatronics. In charge of the following master degree courses: Car body design, Motor vehicle design, Modelling of mechatronic systems.
Andrea Tonoli main research interests are: hybrid and electric vehicles, active and passive magnetic bearings, energy harvesting, piezoelectric actuation, rotor-dynamic analysis. He is author of more than 100 of publications (Journal papers, Proceeding papers, Books, Book chapters, patents). Andrea Tonoli serves as dean of the Verrès branch of the Politecnico di Torino.
